Our Mission Statement:

The Woodville Police Department works to ensure the safety of the Village and to enforce various statutes and ordinances on a 24-hour-a-day basis.  In addition to regular patrol operations, the Police Department offers other services such as K-9 services, a School Resource Officer, Officer(s) assigned to the Sandusky County Special Response Team, Crisis Intervention Trained Officers and various other services.

 

Woodville residents and visitors can rest assured that their Police Department’s main objective is to protect the citizens and their property against crime.  The Department consists of 17 sworn officers, 7 full-time, 5 part-time & 5 Reserve Officers. Department personnel are well trained, highly skilled and utilize state-of-the-art equipment.

Members of the Department possess a total combined law enforcement experience of nearly 200 years.

 

The Police Department maintains close relationships with all surrounding law enforcement organizations and operates within the framework of long-standing mutual aid contracts.

 

Members of the Department are committed to excellence in the performance of duty and take great pride in being a contributor to the success of the Village.

 

The mission of the Woodville Police Department is to improve the quality of life of the citizens, living, working, or visiting the Village. We police in a high visibility aspect, we believe that the more visible you are it is the number one deterrent to crime.

 

We believe it is our responsibility to protect the constitutional rights of all persons, and we are accountable to the citizens we serve.

We believe that crime is not only a police problem, but a social problem which impacts all aspects of community life, and we are committed to working with the community to address these problems.

We accept our leadership role in providing for a safe community and understand that we are a part of, not apart from the community.
