The Village is in the design stages of the Combined Sewer System Long Term Control Plan required by the Ohio EPA. This plan is designed to eleminate the Combined Sewer Overflows (CSO's) that discharge into the Portage River during certain rain events. The Village has decided to complete a storm and sanitary sewer separation which will include the installation of a new sanitary sewer collection system, then utilize the existing combination sewers as a storm water system that will eliminate all COS's. To learn more about the project, funding options and income survey you may contact Mayor Richard Harman, any Councilmembers or Bob Rickard at 419-849-3031 Two young men with village ID's will be doing basement surveys requesting to enter the homes. This is being done as part of the combined sewer separation.
